order of worship 1/4/2009

Hello all -

Here are my thoughts for this Sunday.  We're launching into the Philippians series this week and we'll be spending time dwelling on God's word as a means of grace to us.  So, some of the themes of these songs as will reflect back towards Steve's message from t his past week as well as dwell directly on Scripture or be pulled from Scripture.  One new song - please spend some time learning it before Sunday, if you are able.

Looks like I need to make up a few electronic versions of charts.  I'll try to get those up here tomorrow.

Many thanks to you all.  See you then.

order of worship for 12/28/08

Hey everyone -

It's the last Sunday in 2008.  Who would've thought?

Sorry for the delay in getting this out.  The Christmas week has thrown the schedule for a loop (and I wouldn't have it any other way).

If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions for this list, let me know.

Thanks and see you all tomorrow.

order of worship for 12/21/2008

Hey all -

Here are my thoughts for this Sunday.  It's the last Sunday before Christmas, so it's all Christmas related here.  Tried to spring from this passed week's message by pulling in some themes about praise and the glory of God in the gospel.  Hopefully it comes through on some level.

I'm having to make up new chord charts for all of these old carols.  Not a quick task.  So, I'm going to hold off on linking to any of them until I have all of them - consolidating the effort.  It'll probably be Thursday night before they're complete.

If anyone has any thoughts or questions, don't hesitate to post them.
Thanks,
tw

order of worship for 12/14/08

Hey everyone -

From what I'm hearing, this past Sunday went pretty well while I was away.  I'm glad to hear it!

Things are a bit different this Sunday - my TMS is closing out the series God's Glorious Gospel with a message on God's glory reflected in the gospel and worship as a result of that.  So, we're going to push a decent amount of the singing to the end of the service - after the message.  We'll have two, possibly three, songs (depending on time) during the first set.  Then after the message we'll have another three song set.

By and large our focus is on the glory of God in the gospel through Christmas.  Got that?

So, here are my thoughts for songs.  There's one brand new one after the service - it's from Sovereign Grace's "Savior" album (great Christmas stuff).  The link for downloading is there (and happens to be free on this item) - I'd encourage you all to download the music for that song as well as the other SGM Christmas song "Christ the Lord is born today" which we will be singing earlier in the service.  Incidentally, the entire album is available for download and is on sale for $8 (click here).

As always, if anyone has any questions or thoughts, just post them.
Thanks,
tw

PS I'll try to post charts for all of the Christmas songs by Saturday afternoon.
