I want you all to know that I am very aware that there are technological and logistical limitations for some on the team when it comes to downloading music. If it's not possible to do, I do not in anyway expect you do download the music.
Inability - whether it's because you're away from your computer or because you don't have one or because you don't have certain capacities on your computer - does not in any way mean that I do not think that you will be ready to learn and to praise on a Sunday morning. I want you there and I'm happy to teach the songs.
Rather, I think that it's clear that the more familiar we are with the music, the more we know it, the more we've embraced it, the more it has captured our hearts and turned our souls to praise during the weeks and months, the more we will be equipped to lead on a Sunday morning. So, while I do not in any way expect a download if it can't happen, I would strongly encourage the purchase of a cd or two or three that have a lot of the songs that we do and that we will do. There are a few cds out there that will minister to your souls tremendously. The new Sovereign Grace Music cd PSALMS is one of those. Already, just over the last couple weeks, as I've sung the songs in my head through the day, I've been caused to praise. I desire that for all of you as well.
I don't say "download this" to be a burden. I say it to be a joy. If you can't download, I'd highly recommend buying a cd. These things are worth far more than their weight in gold.
I've been communicating that poorly. I'm sorry about that. Forgive me for making a burden what was meant for worship.
Thanks for all of your service, for your understanding, and for your willingness to have me as a leader even when I prove to be somewhat ineffective at points.
He can be most clearly seen in our weakness and so I rest in Him.
thanks,
tw
